This movie is a must watch for middle class working women who are in a constant tug of war between their kids, home and career. This movie has shown how a middle class working woman does it all.
I don’t know how she dos it is about a middle class working woman who is in a constant tug of war between her kids, nanny, home and her career. This movie is for the oppressed middle class working women who are superwomans the way they handle their kids and career side by side. They often have to make choices with a heavy heart as they have to work but they miss their kids too at the same time. There is so much that they have to take care of, they have to make sure they have a reliable nanny, the kids are eating properly, picking them up from school, treat them if they have lice and what not.
Sarah Jessica Parker stars as Kate Reddy in I don’t know how she does it. In this movie she is struggling to cope with her two young kids, a home to look after, a supportive husband and her dream of making a career in the finance sector. In the movie there are many occasions where she wanted to stay with her children for special occasions but was called for power point presentations from New York again and again. She promised her daughter a snowman on thanksgiving which couldn’t materialize until the end of the movie. Pierce Brosnan is doing the role of Jack Abelhammer who is a wallstreet shark and a giant in the finance sector. Kate has a very positive working relation with him and they are seen bowling on one of the trips just to get over their stresses.
I don’t know how she does it shows how Sarah Jessica copes up with the entire situation and prioritize her kids. At almost the end of the movie she stands up and asks her boss not to send her on business trips on short notice as it causes trouble to her and her extremely supportive husband and the kids suffer as well. But this movie gives strength and an appreciation to working women who are in the same situation pretty much every day.
