Jenna Bush Hager took a trip down memory lane on the October 8th episode of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, revealing a photo from her younger, wilder days spent clubbing. To the delight of her co-host, Hoda Kotb, Jenna shared a never-before-seen snapshot from a Miami club during a bachelorette party.

The night in question was particularly memorable, as Jenna and her friends unexpectedly crossed paths with none other than NBA superstar LeBron James. At the time, James was playing for the Miami Heat and had just won the NBA title. “We were at the club, and LeBron James was in the house,” Jenna recalled as she shared the photo of herself, her friend, and a smiling James at the Miami venue.

Reflecting on her clubbing outfit, Hoda playfully described the image: “Girl with her headband and her credit card tucked into her tube top that she wore to the club.” Jenna laughed and admitted she had held back on sharing the picture publicly until now. “I haven’t shown that picture publicly because of the credit card tucked into the boob,” she joked. “I feel like that was irresponsible, and I felt like my mom might be embarrassed by that. But that memory never leaves me.” Jenna, the daughter of former First Lady Laura Bush, explained that she was hesitant about how her mother might react to the photo.

Jenna also recounted how the night was filled with fun, as she and her friends danced to LMFAO’s hit song “Party Rock Anthem.” It was during this time that they realized LeBron James was celebrating at the club too.

Hoda, not one to be left out, reminisced about her own clubbing days. She shared a story of a New York City club that had binoculars hanging from the ceiling. “People would go and party, or whatever, and you would stop and look at the binoculars and spy on people,” she explained. Jenna responded with a laugh, saying, “What? That sounds creepy and horrible.”

Jenna’s cousin, Wendy Stapleton, who was present on set, confirmed that the photo from her clubbing days looked familiar. Jenna also reflected on her younger years, including her time at the University of Texas, where her partying ways became somewhat infamous. “Somebody showed me a bumper sticker from Austin back in the day that said ‘WWJD’ — What Would Jenna Drink,” Jenna said. “And Libby (Leist), our boss, goes, ‘That’s your legacy.’ Wow, that’s great.”

Despite the playful reminiscing, it’s clear that Jenna embraces her past with humor and honesty, appreciating the fun memories while also acknowledging how far she’s come.
