That’s why fans were shocked when the 30-year-old stepped out in California this past week rocking a fresh cut dyed a rich brunette, a far cry from her typical style. It may just be for a role, but it suits her perfectly!
Robbie will be starring in the upcoming David O.Russell film alongside John David Washington, and the classic beauty got into character with a fresh dye job to fit the part. The title of the film has yet to be revealed, but Robbie will star alongside the likes of Christian Bale, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, and even Robert DeNiro.
Robbie pulled off the darker do once before at the 2014 Oscars, but this new look appears to be a more traditional bob than the Hollywood waves she wore years before. In the photos that emerged of Robbie with co-star John David Washington, the actress tucked the short crop behind her ears showing off a middle part and dark eyebrows to match.
Typically as the weather gets warmer the natural instinct is to veer towards lighter styles, but Robbie builds a solid case for darker locks this spring. Short crops are easier to work with anyways, so this look could be the style of the season. Who says blondes have more fun?
