Woman, 35, ‘disgusted and embarrassed’ after ex posted revenge porn on Instagram

A woman was “disgusted and embarrassed” to find out a boyfriend she once thought was Prince Charming had posted revenge porn of her online.

Kenny Davis quickly changed after moving in with Laura Alcock, who he had wooed when they first met.

The 34-year-old began controlling her life, banishing her friends and once pushing her to the floor in public, Nottingham Post reported.

When the 35-year-old mum plucked up the courage to end the relationship, she discovered he had taken the intimate photographs of her while she slept and posted them to his Instagram account.

Laura said: “I was horrified, they were so seedy.”

She added: “He seems to have a vendetta against women and I just want to get it out there to raise awareness that help is there for anyone going through what I did.

“He was very much a manipulator, controlling everything I did.

“He did assault me but what he did to me was more mental abuse than physical abuse.”

Mum-of-six Laura, of Ilkeston, said she met Davis over Instagram in September 2018.

She said after chatting online for a while she invited him to her home for their first date.

Laura said: “He pretty much stayed and never moved out and he was a real Prince Charming to begin with.

“But it soon became clear he had two sides to him, I would describe him as a narcissist.”

Laura said at Christmas 2018 “an argument over nothing” saw him push to to the floor in public in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

She was in the early stages of pregnancy with his child but neither of them knew that at the time, Laura said.

She miscarried in January of 2019.

Laura said: “We went for a scan and there was no heartbeat. He blamed me and from then on it seemed like there were arguments every day.

“They would be over nothing, he would make everything a massive deal, he started calling me a slag, he was a bully.”

In June of that year, Davis, of Blake Street, Ilkeston, physically attacked Laura and she called the police, she said.

She took him back after he begged her, saying “it is okay, we will make it work”.

In January 2020 she had a daughter by Davis, but by then she had finally plucked up the courage to end their relationship.

Two months later Laura made the shocking discovery that he had posted the intimate photographs he took of her without her knowledge on his Instagram account.

Laura’s best friend, Kerri Lamb, said: “I told her she had to call the police and she did.

“When Kenny arrived on the scene he pretty much stopped me from seeing her but I was always there for her.”

Laura said: “I was told he had pleaded not guilty and I was so worried about the prospect of having to go to court, give evidence and see him.

“But he changed his plea, was sent to prison and now he is forbidden from contacting me.”

Last week 34-year-old Davis was jailed for 12 weeks after pleading guilty to two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress.

He was also handed a two-year restraining order not to contact Laura or go to her address.

Laura said she hoped by speaking out, victims would think about seeking support.

She said: “I contacted the Freedom Programme after reading a book by its founder called ‘Living with the Dominator’ and they were such a massive help to me.

“I would strongly advise any woman who is going through the same as me to do the same.”

The Freedom Programme is a domestic violence support scheme for women who find themselves in abusive relationships.
