Hygienic and Delicious Homemade treats for your cat

One of the various ways of pampering your cat is to make home made treats for your cat. It not only saves your money but it is also safe hygienically. The artificial coloring, preservatives, and miscellaneous food parts like throw away stuff in ready made cat food have a tendency to add more weight but they are not really healthy for your cat.

With the help of some very basic ingredients, you can make hygienic and delicious treats for your cat in no time.

Home made treats are a delight for every cat. You need to keep in mind certain things, while choosing food for your cat such as: never compromise on its hygienic aspect; secondly you can always add up more healthy ingredients like eggs and milk in homemade treats for cats. It also provides a chance for your cat to have a flavor of other things. One of cat’s most favorite ingredients is fish; you may like to make tuna crackers for your cat in 20 minutes that would serve as a hygienic and delicious homemade treat for your cat.

  • 6 ounces of undrained tuna
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Measure all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into treat sized pieces. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden. Once it gets cool let your cat enjoy the home made treat.

Another way to use fish in homemade treats for your cat is,

  • 1 Can Drained tuna
  • 1/2 Cut turkey or chicken
  • 2/3 Dry Cat Food
  • Sliced vegetables (optional)

Mix all ingredients in small bowl until well mixed. Form into small balls or anything you are comfortable with. Let them chill for about an hour. Cover the balls in bread crumbs or anything crumbly. Your cat will definitely love the crunchy home made treat.

You may also add some milk in your cat’s favorite recipes to enhance its flavor. It would not only enrich the protein but also add an extra amount of animal fat that is necessary in its diet.

  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 3 slices of meat
  • Any 2 vegetables or 4 crab sticks
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Flour

Mix all ingredients and use cookie cutter to cut into small shapes. Cook at 350 F until golden brown. Milk and meat would prove best combo in your homemade treat for your cat.

Another way to use meat in a hygienic and delicious treat for your cat would be

  • 3 oz Sausage or finely ground beef
  • 2 Tablespoon Oatmeal
  • 1 Egg
  • Catnip finely chopped

Knead them all together smoothly and shape into a flat oval. Broil under a medium heat for 5-10 minutes, turning regularly until the outside is crispy. When it cools down, slice it into bite sized chunks and feed to your cat.
