Prince Harry has not made genuine efforts to mend his relationship with the Royal Family, according to a royal expert. The Duke of Sussex, who now resides in the US, makes occasional visits back to the UK but has yet to allocate sufficient time for King Charles to accommodate him into his schedule.

Prince Harry left the Royal Family in 2020, alongside his wife Meghan Markle and their son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of racism towards their son and publicly aired their grievances on television. Now living in California, Harry and Meghan also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, after their move.

Since their departure, the couple’s relationship with the Royal Family has been strained, marked by a series of public accusations and revelations. Despite these tensions, there have been few substantial efforts to bridge the gap, according to the experts told OK! magazine.

Speaking about Harry’s half-hearted efforts to meet his ailing father, royal expert Jenni Bond notes: “If Harry had really wanted to confront his family and patch things up, he would surely have allotted more time to his recent visits so that his father – at least – could make arrangements to see him.”

The expert then talks about a potential reunion between Prince Harry and his elder brother Prince William: “I don’t think there’s any chance of William wanting to do so, particularly with all he has on his plate right now. “So, I’ll believe this when I see it, but it will be lovely if he could indeed spend some time, perhaps at Balmoral, during the summer and make peace with his father,” notes the expert.

Harry’s periodic visits to the UK have done little to alleviate the rift, with the royal expert suggesting that his actions have not demonstrated a genuine commitment to reconciliation. The ongoing estrangement continues to be a source of public interest and speculation, with many wondering if and when the family will fully mend their bonds.

Living in California, Harry and Meghan have established new lives away from royal duties. Their public statements and interviews have frequently highlighted their challenges and criticisms of royal life, contributing to the ongoing distance between them and the rest of the Royal Family.

The expert’s comments underline the complexity of the situation and the significant work required for any meaningful reconciliation. The Royal Family and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain in a state of tension, with public and private grievances yet to be resolved.

As both sides navigate their new realities, the question of whether Prince Harry will make a genuine effort to reconcile with his family remains open. For now, the relationship remains strained, and the path to healing is unclear.
