It seems Alec Baldwin can’t catch a break, not even at home.
According to Radar Online, the actor is facing mounting pressure from his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, to go under the knife, all because of one thing: his baggy eyes.
Sources close to the couple say Hilaria’s had enough of Alec’s ageing appearance, particularly the pouches under his eyes, which she reportedly finds less than flattering. “She wants Alec to get cosmetic surgery to correct them ASAP because they make him look bad, and that’s a reflection on her,” an insider told the outlet.
Alec isn’t bothered by it all himself, but he’s more than likely to comply. “Alec will likely do it because he does everything Hilaria wants,” the source added.
Now 67, Alec’s visible ageing has become more noticeable in recent years, especially since the tragic Rust shooting incident in 2021, which still weighs heavily on him despite the case being dropped over a technicality. While he’s trying to get on with life, Hilaria allegedly sees his looks as a bit of a personal PR problem.
“Hilaria is watching Alec age before her eyes, but most concerning are the unsightly pouches underneath his eyes,” said the insider. And in a not-so-gentle dig, they added, “There are times she feels she’s talking to Droopy Dog.”
She’s tried everything short of surgery — from tea bags and fancy creams to high-end serums — but nothing’s shifted the eye bags. And while Alec seems pretty content to embrace his older face, it’s not going down well with Hilaria. “They’re a real turnoff to Hilaria, who calls them gross,” the source claimed.
Those close to the pair say this obsession with appearances is creating tension behind the scenes. “It’s just another example of how she treats him like dirt,” the source said. “This is putting even more strain on their marriage.”
Hilaria is described as being very “image-driven” and seemingly determined to keep up appearances, no matter what it takes. “Hilaria is a very glamorous lady, or tries to be,” said the insider, adding that “Alec is ruining that image with his baggy eyes.”
Things at home aren’t exactly rosy either. According to the same source, “things are becoming increasingly hostile at home,” and the whole situation is starting to chip away at their relationship.
