Harry Styles is the fourth One Direction star to release solo music, after Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, with fans eagerly waiting to hear what their idol had to offer. He dropped the song on Friday morning (07Apr17), a week after first teasing details of the track on his Instagram page, including the single’s artwork. “Thanks for having me. Love you. H,” he tweeted after Sign of the Times was officially released.

The message already has 142,000 likes and nearly 100,000 shares. #SignOfTheTimes is a masterpiece ffs (for f**k sake)” one happy fan tweeted, while another declared: “So proud of my baby @Harry_Styles #SignOfTheTimes #HarryStyles.” The track, which has a runtime of over five minutes, marks a new direction for the former boyband star, and features a much edgier and melancholic sound for Harry.
