FDA alert: if you have this common snack, don’t eat it, throw it away

The Food and Drug Administration has added a new product recall to its bulletin because it may be very dangerous for some people.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a new public recall for a very common snack that may be in your pantry right now.

According to the new listing found on the FDA website, Giant Eagle is voluntarily recalling its Market District Gourmet Pretzel Platters and Gourmet Pretzel Bags.

The reason for the recall is that the pretzels were may be contaminated with undeclared pecans, which the FDA describes, could cause “a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction” if someone who was allergic consumed them.

In the entirety of this article, you will find the recalled products “sell by” date, the location they were sold in, and the states the product was sold in.

Giant Eagle has since found out that the recall was caused by an error in the product’s packaging at the store. At the moment, there has been one illness linked to the recalled products. For more information visit this link here.
