Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation marked National Voter Registration Day by encouraging civic engagement and empowering voters. In a message on their website, the Sussexes emphasized the importance of voting, urging everyone to “make every eligible vote count.”

The statement highlighted the significance of civic participation, stating, “Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities. At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one’s political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world”, told Newsweek.

The foundation also hosted a volunteer event, where participants wrote letters to potential voters, encouraging them to register. The message continued, “Together, let’s make sure every eligible voter is informed and empowered to participate in shaping America’s future.”

The Sussexes’ focus on voter empowerment comes as Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK for the annual WellChild Awards, a charity event he has supported for 16 years. The awards honor children with severe health conditions, as well as their families and caregivers. Harry expressed his admiration for these young people, saying, “These incredible young people, along with the dedicated caregivers, nurses, and professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all.”

Although Harry will attend the event alone, as there has been no indication Meghan will join him, the couple has remained committed to their causes in both the UK and the US.

Recently, Harry and Meghan attended Tyler Perry’s birthday celebration, where they mingled with Hollywood stars. They were seen leaving the event after a night of music, dancing, and speeches.

Meghan has also used her influence to support smaller, up-and-coming fashion brands, as she discussed in an interview with The New York Times. She reflected on how her fashion choices can impact designers, recalling how her support for Strathberry helped the brand expand its workforce. “That experience changed everything in terms of how I then looked at putting an outfit together,” she said.

Rumors have surfaced that the Sussexes are considering another quasi-royal tour later this year, with potential visits to Lesotho and Botswana, countries closely linked to Prince Harry’s charity, Sentebale. While no official plans have been announced, it’s clear the couple continues to focus on their global philanthropic efforts.
