Adriana Lima is a true Brazilian beauty. She is famously known as Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2000. She has also been the spokes model for Maybelline from 2003 to 2009. Adriana started her modeling career when she was only 15 and she won the Ford’s supermodel Brazil award. This was only the start to her magnificent career and the following year she won another award for Ford’s Supermodel of the World. After these two awards Adriana signed with Elite Model Management in New York City. After which Adriana was ranked amongst the 20 highest-earning models in the world.
Adriana Lima never wanted to become a model even though she used to win a lot of beauty pageants in elementary school. She entered a modeling contest because her friend wanted to apply but didn’t want to apply alone. After the selection Lima was called in. After the start of her career she started appearing in many international magazines and editions such as Vogue and Marie Claire. Adriana has modeled for many renowned designers such as Valentino and Giorgio Armani. Adriana Lima started working on whatever came her way such as appearing in fashion magazines, doing print work for Maybelline, becoming the Guess girl.
But most famously Adriana is known for the work she did for Victoria’s Secret. She started working with them in 1999 and in 2000 she won the title of their Victoria’s Secret Angel. She did a lot of shows and photo shoots for the brand. She also did a lot of commercials for Victoria’s Secret. Adriana also has a bit of an acting experience by appearing in a short film called The Follow. Adriana Lima is married to a Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric.
