Ivanka Trump’s political career is “completely over”, her cousin has claimed.
The former President’s daughter has been tipped to run for officer herself one day.
She worked as a senior adviser in her father’s administration, but cousin Mary Trump thinks the storming of the Capitol in January has killed any future in politics for any of the Trumps.
Mary said: “I think it’s completely over and they have their father to thank for that. The insurrection was a bridge too far.”
The Trump family left Washington and New York to Florida after Mr Trump’s presidency ended, a state where he retains plenty of supporters.
Some are speculating that the ex-president might run for the White House again in 2024, while it is thought Ivanka might run for the Senate.
But the rioting at the iconic Capitol is thought to have severely damaged any hope of the family regaining their political power.
Mr Trump is currently being impeached over claims that he incited the insurrection, which also saw him kicked off most social media networks.
Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have been on a spending spree in Miami since last year’s election, shelling out more $30million (£21.7million) on a plot of land in the ultra-rich celebrity enclave Creek Island.
It is known as the “billionaire bunker” and their neighbours will include the likes of NFL star Tom Brady.
Mary has been a sharp critic of her uncle’s administration. She wrote a scathing memoir about the family and challenged them in court arguing that the ex-President cut her out of 10s of millions of dollars in inheritance money.
Speaking about the impeachment, she tweeted: “I know I should be enraged, disgusted, horrified, and outraged.
“On some level, I am all of those things, but mostly right now I’m heartbroken.”
