It’s been more than five months since Texas real estate agent and mother of four Suzanne Simpson vanished from a wealthy San Antonio neighborhood, and her body still hasn’t been found. But as her husband, Brad Simpson, faces murder charges, investigators are piecing together a chilling timeline of her final hours.
Suzanne, 51, disappeared on October 6, 2024, after what police believe was a violent confrontation with her husband of 22 years. Court records allege that Brad “intentionally and knowingly caused the death” of his wife that night. Along with murder, he’s also facing charges of tampering with evidence, aggravated assault, and illegal weapons possession. He’s due in court Wednesday for a status hearing that was postponed in February.
At the last hearing on February 12, both prosecutors and Brad’s defense attorney said they needed more time to review the massive amount of evidence in the case. According to the San Antonio Report, prosecutors were still waiting on more data from the Texas Rangers.

That night, the Simpsons and their 5-year-old daughter attended a party at The Argyle, an exclusive Alamo Heights social club. Witnesses say the couple had a heated argument at the event. By 8:30 p.m., Suzanne had left with their daughter and was seen on surveillance footage at an H-E-B grocery store before returning home.
A short time later, Suzanne called her mother, telling her that Brad had assaulted her, leaving injuries on her arm, back, and neck. She also phoned a family friend, saying she was stopping by. At 9:25 p.m., she arrived at the friend’s house.
But things took a terrifying turn soon after. By 10 p.m., a neighbor reported seeing Brad and Suzanne in a violent struggle outside. Court documents reveal that the neighbor saw Suzanne trying to escape Brad’s grip as he attempted to pull her down. Moments later, Brad allegedly chased after her. What came next was even more disturbing—the neighbor heard chilling screams from the wooded area nearby.
An hour later, that same neighbor saw Brad’s truck leaving the area. About an hour after that, he returned.
By the next morning, surveillance footage from another H-E-B store in San Antonio caught Brad with a large ice chest in the back of his truck. Later that morning, he was spotted at a drive-thru in Kendall County, where cameras captured white trash bags, a heavy-duty trash can, and a bulky item wrapped in a blue tarp tied down with a firewood rack.
Then came the most damning evidence. At a Home Depot, Brad was seen purchasing two bags of cement, a construction bucket, heavy-duty trash bags, Clorox disinfectant spray, and insect repellent—all with cash. Before going inside, he reportedly asked a man in the parking lot for directions to the nearest dump in Boerne.
Surveillance footage from a gas station that same morning shows that the white trash bags were now missing from Brad’s truck, though the tarp, trash can, and firewood rack were still there.
As investigators continue combing through evidence, the biggest question remains—where is Suzanne Simpson?
