The word comes courtesy of Collider, confirming the recent reports that Marvel was looking to add the writer/director to Captain Marvel as part of its Phase Three slate. Wonder Woman already has a June 23, 2017 release date in place, and Captain Marvel is set for release on November 2, 2018, so it would be virtually impossible for her to direct both of these big-budget projects.[contentblock id=2 img=adsense.png]

Angelina Jolie is currently in post-production on her third directorial effort, By the Sea, which doesn’t have a release date set at this time, and she was set to go into production on her fourth feature, Africa, which stars her husband Brad Pitt. More sources and details will hopefully emerge in the coming weeks, considering Marvel is no doubt eager to attach a reliable (female) talent sooner rather than later.
