Anxious players from the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers had to wait more than half-an-hour before they could start the game again. And Twitter users joked that Beyonce’s explosive routine was responsible for the power cut. Singer Kelly Clarkson said: “The force and power that is Beyonce just shut the Super Bowl down ha! Too funny!”
British telly host Cat Deeley added: “Beyonce blew the lights! BOOM!!!!!!!” Beyonce, 31, had opened her show in a cloud of smoke and entertained the 70,000 crowd alongside a flaming guitar. After singing a medley of her solo hits, the scantily clad diva was joined on stage by her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
