MTV Video Music Awards 2011 was full of surprises and fun, from newlywed Kim Kardashian to smooching Selena-Bieber to Lady Gaga dressed as her make alter ego and above all, very pregnant-looking Beyonce.
The 29-year old Britney Spears looked overwhelmed as she received her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the glittering award ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
While Gaga paying tribute to Spears said, “When I used to perform for free at open mic nights at New York clubs one of my biggest inspirations was Britney Spears.She’s a pop music legend and the industry would not be the same without her.”
Katy Perry looked happy for receiving Video of the Year Award.
A video montage of some of the Toxic singer’s hits was then played while an assortment of dancers, including several children, performed in some of her most famous music video and performance outfits.
Stars from Chris Brown to Justin Bieber to Katy Perry to Pitbull and Nicki Minaj, were all at the ceremony but it was the appearance of a very pregnant-looking Beyonce which drew the most attention.
