Richard Hillgrove made the allegations about the TV chef in his web blog. Mum-of-two Nigella, 53, is divorcing art collector Charles, 70, after he held her throat outside Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair, central London.
She has hired law firm Schillings who demanded an apology from Mr Hillgrove and a threat of legal action if the claims are not taken down. But the PR expert said: “I have obviously touched a nerve. It’s not a crime to have a difference of opinion.”
