She’s usually spotted turning heads as she walks her dogs along the streets of Essex. But Lucy Mecklenburgh swapped Brentwood for Los Angeles this week as she was spotted wandering through The Grove, wearing a brightly-coloured maxi-dress.
During her sunshine break to the City of Angels, the TOWIE star seemed in high spirits as she was spotted having lunch with a pal, despite reports that her brief romance with The Wanted’s Max George is over.
The 21-year-old reality star jetted to the US on Monday for a holiday and certainly seemed to be making the most of the sunshine during her first day. Looking as stylish as ever, the boutique-owner chose to stand out rather than blend into the crowd as she made a beeline for LA’s most famous shopping district.
Keeping her look simple but chic, Lucy paired the loose-fitting dress, which had swirls of colour on it, with white flip-flops. Knowing that less is always more, she kept her accessories minimal, adding just two delicate bangles and a black quilted handbag.
The style-conscious star wore her dark bob loose and smiled as she walked her pet pooch through the streets with a female friend in tow. They later stopped by Gordon Ramsay’s eatery Fat Cow, where they outside and tucked into a tasty lunch. Clearly looking forward to her trip across the Atlantic, Lucy tweeted about her excitement, but revealed that she had to fly solo as her pal missed the plane.
‘1st flight ever on my own as poor @Scarlett_short_ missed our flight :-( .. So I’m all alone in LA for 24 hours.. What do I do !?!,’ she wrote on the social networking site. And it seems that her bad luck didn’t stop there as her jet-lag caused her to oversleep and miss her first night out, leaving her upset. She wrote: ‘Fumingggg!!! Fell asleep & missed a night out in LA!!!!! Well it’s 1.45am here could I still go out!? Hmm!?’
Lucy seemed in a good mood during her day out though, amid reports that her new pop star boyfriend ‘hooked up’ with Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend Jasmine Lennard at the beginning of the month. A source told Heat Magazine: ‘Lucy is so embarrassed right now. She’s gone from being linked to Max to having to read about his and Jasmine’s night in the papers.’
