It’s one of the most prestigious and star-studded fashion awards of the year. And London Fashion Week came to a close with a bang at the ELLE Style Awards 2016, which saw Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Liv Tyler and Lana Del Rey pick up the top prizes of the night. The bevvy of beauties were leading the glamour at the glittering 19th annual ceremony, held at London’s Tate Britain on Tuesday night and hosted by Nick Grimshaw. Suki was on top form as she celebrated her big win for Breakthrough Star Of The Year, which recognised the star’s seamless transition from modelling to acting. The 24-year-old looked incredible in a Marilyn Monroe-style number by Camilla and Marc as she gleefully posed with her gong, pulling an array of funny faces for the cameras. The Burberry pin-up, who was joined by her sister Immy Waterhouse at the event, has juggled film roles including Love, Rosie and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies alongside her illustrious modelling campaigns.
Fellow British beauty Jourdan Dunn was another worthy winner on the night, taking home the Style Influencer Of The Year award for her impact on high street fashion and her social media impact. The 25-year-old supermodel proved she was definitely deserving of the title, donning a glittering purple gown boasting a seriously high side-split for extra glamour. Jourdan’s elegant evening number was given a quirky touch thanks to a velvet top section with an off-the-shoulder neckline.
Liv Tyler put in a rare appearance at the ceremony to collect her TV Actress Of The Year accolade. The pregnant star, joined by her fiancé Dave Gardner at the main event, showed off her baby bump in a gorgeous electric blue gown. The model-and-actress looked thrilled to be making waves for her role in HBO series The Leftovers.
Lana Del Rey also delighted guests at the magazine bash by jetting in from the US to take home the Female Artist Of The Year award. Despite cutting a relatively low profile of late, the soulful songstress beat a host of big names to be crowned the champion. The Video Games hitmaker was rocking a princess style gown in a pastel pink gauze dress with a flowing skirt.
This year, ELLE’s UK title added one more award to their list, the Inspiring Woman Of The Year, which was scooped by US model Karlie Kloss for her entrepreneurial and philanthropic work. As well as being a model, the brunette added Code With Karlie – a scholarship in programming, designed specifically to help girls get involved with computer science – to her professional repertoire. The stunning star stunned in a classic black dress with a low-cut neckline as she worked her moment in the spotlight, oozing sophistication in her slinky ensemble.
The ELLE Style Awards ceremony kicked-off with a surprise performance by girl group All Saints, marking their first public appearance since announcing their reunion. The nineties hit-makers performed number-one crowd favourites, including Never Ever, I Know Where It’s At and Pure Shores. The entertainment continued into the evening as neo soul duo Lion Babe headlined the after party with a DJ set in the neon-lit venue.
